exhuming bodies_in Madagascar as well as Jharkhand, India.

A TV report showed how people of Madagascar buried their dead and then, later, took the bodies out again, separated the bones, and kept these in a family tomb, which they visit regularly for an elaborate and emotional yet happy festival and festivity to celebrate the dead, even dancing with them, and later replacing the bones in their places in the tomb. They can identify each dead person too.It seems that whenever in trouble, or suspense over things like infertility of a new wife, etc, the ancestors are thus celebrated to get on their right side for good luck and to keep them happy. There is no fear involved as the dead are anyway supposed to have gone to a better place after death.
The TV actually showed them taing out the bones ..from a close up angle…

Recently, a Jharrkhand Sarna tribal working in Punjab, India was recounting how they bury their dead and then after a month or so take the bodies out, separate the bones and..one had gasped and could not go on to hear what came next.. perhaps he said they put something in the river and the rest…?
