Let us read “Saiful Malook”
Mian Muhammad Bakhsh (1830-1907) is one of the most famous Punjabi Sufi poets of the Punjab and Kashmir. He wrote 18 books, all in the Punjabi language except one in Persian. His most popular book is “Safrul Ishq” (the journey of Divine Love), publicly known as Saiful Malook. The book consists of 9,249 couplets (18, 498 verses) in total. Weekly session to read & understand the book is arranged by “Punjabi Sufi Sangat” on every Saturday at 6 PM at Academy Zawiya, 105 A, Behind 6th Road Wagon Stop, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. This Saturday, we will have 8th session and will read two chapters from the book Saiful Malook; one is Praise to Hazrat MeeraaN Mohammad Muqeem Shah and second chapter is praise to DamRi Waalee Sarkaar Hazrat Pira Shah Ghazi. After reading these chapters, the participants will discuss the basic themes of these chapters. Entry is free for all.
